that, at its bottom, is a rather pathetic story of how a group of men learn to manipulate women for sex and attention, although generally short-term. Most of them, in the book, lack character and/or have other serious pathology, and that’s part of what makes it an interesting story. Many of the women also have serious issues. A minority of their tactics are innocent enough (if cheesy and embarrassing), but overall, they’re unable to connect on a human level and it becomes rather sociopathic. I don’t recommend it for a book on how to pick up women and doubt that any secure, three dimensional man with integrity and character and any respect for women would find it of much use.
