Whilst not being a fan of Moore’s writing, he does uncover, and document, a lot of rather nasty things about the ol’ U. S. of A.

I would say that he provides the complete anti-thesis of the whole Bush campaign; not offering a well rounded debate, but rather the opposing side. You can’t take what he says as gospel but certainly allows you to produce a more ‘well-rounded’ opinion after listening to the state propaganda.

Funny, shrill, and thought provoking. Didn’t believe quite a bit of what he was babbling about. Like lead in the water supply … he claims the levels are poisonous, yet no one is dying. Still, even if some of what he wrote seemed a little hysterical, I like people like Michael Moore. They keep me on my toes.

I’ve heard a lot about this book, so pounced on it when I saw it on the shelves at the library. Having completed it, I’m a bit disappointed. Moore’s rhetoric is rather brash and abrasive. And it’s not that funny. It’s not an awful book, but I’m not that impressed. And Moore cites statistics in a way that makes me suspect that the figures he’s quoting may be a bit dodgy.

Used to l-o-v-e Michael’s tv-show on the BBC: TV Nation. Likewise, this book is hilarious, in a cynical way.

Heavy-handed and often far too facetious (without actually being that funny), but a fairly solid and worthwhile blow to the head all the same.
