Why I recommend this — 2 years ago

WORTH CONSUMING!

I was pleasantly surprised by this album. I quite liked it – and it’s unusual for me to enjoy an entire album of Madonna. There you go.

I really like it so much that it’s indeterminable when I’ll stop.

WORTH CONSUMING!

Madonna rocks. Except for the Kabbalah-themed “Isaac”, every tune on this album is fine! I especially like “Hung Up”, “I Love New York” and “How High”.

I pray that Madonna will continue to record and perform forever. After more than 20 years of being a fan, I still love her!

Because it’s ear-candy! I’m listening to it right now. Yes, right now. Just when you think you’re only visiting this very page and have been here only a moment ago, I’m still listening to it. Right Now!

WORTH CONSUMING!

Wow, there are some harsh words on this page! I have to totally disagree. Not since the Immaculate Collection have I liked an entire Madonna CD so much. It is more on the Euro/techno side, but it’s fun listening and even more fun grooving to (in my humble opinion). I’ve taken dance classes for my own personal enjoyment for years and I was thrilled to do some choreography to Hung Up this week… It’s going to be in my regular CD rotation for quite some time.

Not even Price could save the lyrics — 2 years ago

NOT WORTH CONSUMING

The single’s grown on me. Even though I’m pretty allergic against low-cut, flange-ish music (the quota of which I feel Fatboy Slim used up about five years ago), Price has cobbled up a good retro-sounding album, but Madonna’s lyrics aren’t very interesting. Not that they ever hit degrees that Morrissey reach, but in comparison with songs like, say, “Cherish” and “Like A Virgin”, none of these tracks come close.

And the melodies. What melodies? Snatching ABBA’s “Gimme”? Hell no.
