If you are afraid to be sad, don’t watch this film. It will be too much for you. On the other hand, if you are afraid of nothing – you won’t get anything out of it.
It is the story of a young woman in France who is in with a bad crowd. She gets herself into a foolish situation and then commits a senseless murder.
The consequences for her are death and an unwilling apprenticeship in a secret state-run agency. For killing one man, she is sentenced to kill many.
A clear case of making the punishment fit the crime. Not at all the usual way, though.
The movie is French. It is a fun one to watch to bone up on your French.
If you only want to see an American movie that is all in English, see the remake of this one called No Way Out, starring Bridget Fonda. They’re not quite the same movie though. So, you could do a lot worse than watching both of them.
