I read this book when it was an Oprah Book Club selection, and it brought up some feelings about my own in-laws. I even wrote a letter to the show, and had a phone call from someone on Oprah’s staff, asking if they could read parts of my letter on the air. Of course I agreed, although in the end, they didn’t end up reading any letters on that particular episode. Still, it was pretty exciting. :)
