I didn’t read any of the Fantastic Four comic books, so I went into this film expecting little. I liked the cast, especially Dr. Doom. My complaint is the same complaint I give against a lot of super hero movies: it took forever to set how the heros acquired their powers up! In an two hour movies, 1 hour of set up is too long!!! For once, I would just like hollywood producers to assume that the average American would just understand if a movies started and somebody had superpowers that we would be able to figure out they weren’t like the rest of us, i.e. they had mutated dna or got bit by a spider or were born as a freak, etc. Think of all the time you could save in a movie and actually have a good plot arc if you didn’t have to spend an hour with the hero acquiring their powers!!
