I know it is kind of hokey to listen to movie soundtrack albums, but I LOVE this CD, not the least because it introduced me to some new singers that I had never heard before like Patty Griffin, eastmountainsouth, Ryan Adams, My Morning Jacket, and Helen Stellar and it contains new songs by some old favorites such as Elton John and Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. And, no, I will not tell you what cave I have been hiding in where I have not been hitherto introduced to these artists! I can’t believe you would ask such a thing! Just because my musical taste is kind of stuck back in the 20th century and is sometimes the musical equivalent of a mullet is no reason to get personal. I WILL LAY DOWN MY LPS WHEN THEY PRY THEM OUT OF MY COLD DEAD HANDS!

OK, now that that is out of my system, let’s just say I plan to drag my music collection into this century and I am going to start with CDs from some of the artist on this CD. So it was worth the $9.
