The Aristocats is a cute little movie. The cats inherit their master’s fortune, and the butler tries to dispose of them by feeding them sleeping pills and leaving them on the other side of town. The aristocats are high class felines, so they are not used to the rough and tumble lifestyle of the Parisian alley cats. But they meet an alley cat named Thomas O’Malley, who presents himself with one of the two very memorable songs from this movie as Abraham DeLacey Giuseppe Casey Thomas O’Malley the Alley Cat. O’Malley falls in love with the mother cat, and her kittens later grow on him as well. They are helped by a mouse named Rouqefort, who’s voiced by Sterling Holloway, better known as the voice of Winnie the Pooh (I love his voice!). Like all of the Disney films made right after Walt Disney’s death, it is a little slow moving, but it is a very cute movie, and well worth watching.
