A story about this — 1 week ago
It was a last minute decision, but I was one of those nuts that watched it at midnight on opening night. I’m surprised I did because I’m not that obsessed with the books/movies, but I enjoyed it all the same. You could tell the budget was larger than the first one. I really enjoyed the werewolf scenes and wished there were more. I also enjoyed the tension between Jacob and Bella throughout the entire movie. I’m sad to see the last of Rachelle Lefevre (Victoria) in this movie. There was only one scene of her in this one, with the werewolves in the forest. She didn’t even have any lines.
I found the new vampire contacts a little distracting. They were overly bright. I thought Dakota Fanning did a good job as Jane. She was believable as a sadistic little vampire.
You also get a glimpse of Bella as a vampire running in the forest with Edward which was mega cheesy, so cheesy that the entire theater of people I was in, laughed.
Overall, I liked it and would watch it again.
