A shirtless Stephen Dorff is the only reason to watch Cold Creek Manor. When the family screamed “eek!” in reaction to a plague of snakes, I could only laugh; it was not the least bit frightening. The thematic music didn’t seem to help. The plot was hackneyed – city folk move to the sticks, only to discover that things are much more menacing there. Deliverance is the classic movie for that theme, so why waste your time on this? Unless it’s for Stephen Dorff.
