I like this more than Madonna’s earlier stuff, but it did take me a few listens to let go of one thing. And this applies to people in general—not just Madonna or musicians. I wonder why it is that people who were overly selfish when they were younger (and who realize they should change at some point) then want to tell the rest of us what they learned like it never occurred to anyone else?

I mean if you didn’t start out that selfish to begin with, things like:

“I traded fame for love

Without a second thought

It all became a silly a game

Some things cannot be bought”

are not epiphanies to the rest of us.

But I can’t help but like the music…
