Why I recommend this — 3 years ago
fantastic (and quick!) read. aside from the fact that i’m a huge anderson cooper fan, this book really reminded me that in the united states we have more than we can ever use and honestly, need.

This memoir was compelling, but I didn’t like the way it was written. It’s clear that his experiences have really affected his life, but his tone at times seemed overly sentimental. And there were many cases where his connections between his past and his present were tenuous at best.
However, all in all—good plot, not so good writing. I’m glad I borrowed it from a friend instead of shelling out money for it.
