It was great ~ my four year old niece absolutely loved it! So glad that we chose to see it and especially that we got to take her!

The movie: sweet, fun, I did laugh out loud at bits (mostly incidental stuff, non-main characters like the President, etc), although it’s pretty (hahah) 1-dimensional in terms of plot. Susan Murphy is hit by a meteor on her wedding day, grows 50 feet, and is locked up with a bunch of other ‘monsters’: Dr Cockroach, the Missing Link, and the Blob. Oh yeah, and Insectosaurus! That is until aliens invade, and the government decides that only the monsters stand a chance…!
The 3D: the best bit was the opening scene of the rings of whatever distant planet we were sweeping round – it was astonishingly lovely! After that – yeah, nice enough, nothing too starting, and boy do my eyes hurt! I’ve decided I don’t really like 3D that much and unless it’s essential to the movie, I’m just not going to bother any more – will be heading for the regular, 2D version of Coraline.

We didn’t get to see it in 3-D, but my friends and I were laughing the entire way through. It was a great movie well worth seeing.
