Nicely dark and gothic, but nothing startling. Ben Barnes was actually a good choice for the angelic-looking Dorian. His growing debauchery was rather oddly portrayed, with endless soft-focus, slo-mo scenes of rather tame orgies, and bizarrely unappealing drug-addled scences. Best role was probably Colin Firth – Darcy corrupting poor innocent Prince Caspian!!

Watchable, but no classic.
