I was very concerned going into this that it would ruin one of my all-time favourite books. Very, VERY glad to say that it didn’t, but it’s hard to be entirely objective otherwise. It started a bit slowly, then there was a bit of a rush. A lot of depth was missing, naturally, from the reading experience. The actors suited me just fine.

I don’t know how I would have found it all if I hadn’t been aware of the story already, to be honest. As it was, I didn’t even wait for the sad bits before I started a bit of pre-emptive sniffling!
