WORTH CONSUMING!
For some reason I’ve liked everything by The Bird & The Bee except their debut album. Their follow-up full length Ray Guns Are Not Just The Future has a bumpin’ rhythm section. The opening track “My Love” features hand claps that are reminiscent of Gwen Stefani’s “Bananas” but not quite as fun. The duo seem to have lighter spirits on their sophomore release. This isn’t surprising to anyone who’s enjoyed the two EPs they released in 2008. Their lyrics, always clever, are particularly outstanding on “What’s In the Middle.” Good for background noise or commuting.
