The Three Musketeers (Les Trois Mousquetaires) is a novel by Alexandre Dumas, père. It recounts the adventures of a young man named d’Artagnan after he leaves home to become a musketeer. D’Artagnan is not one of the musketeers of the title; those are his friends Athos, Porthos, and Aramis—inseparable friends who live by the motto “one for all, all for one” (“un pour tous, tous pour un”). I think the cartoon you watched as a youth was called The Three Musketeers by Hanna Barbara.
This movie was also significant in that it will end up being the last one Stephanie, Yvonne, & I saw together.
I got the question wrong in the movie. I could have sworn the answer was D"Artagnan because I remembered the cartoon.
Slumdog Millionaire is the story of Jamal Malik, an 18 year old orphan who is 1 question away from winning 20 million rupees on Who Wants to be a Millionaire. He has been accused of cheating and spends the night in jail explaining in flashback how he knew the answers to the questions he got right.
This film is brutal, inspirational, horrifying and brilliant. Be sure to stay to the end to see the Bollywood type dance as the credits roll.
