A wonderful escapist, pastoral novel — 4 years ago
WORTH CONSUMING!
A wonderful escapist, pastoral novel which follows the lives of a pair of Welsh twins (and the many, many people around them) through the better part of the twentieth century. Chatwin’s plotting and his characterizations are meticulous; the world he creates is a credible and absorbing one. The book certainly leaves a lasting impression, but very little to ponder.
