Ah, sweet nostalgia. A medieval fantasy adventure from my youth, with a baby-faced Matthew Broderick as the escapee prisoner caught up between Rutgar Hauer and Michelle Pfeiffer’s cursed romance.

The very 80s soundtrack does its very best to ruin the whole thing, but my 7- or 8-year old self was carried away with enchanted hunting birds and naff conjoined titles (‘Fireblade’!!) for ages.

one of those scifi fantasy show that is romantic and touching too.
