Death Note keeps getting more and more interesting. Even though this volume was intriguing, it lacked the heart-stopping feeling that the other four volumes made me feel. I can’t believe I only have three more volumes to go. Pretty sad about it. I guess I always have part two of the movie.

Spoiler alert! This time on the heels of the Kiras, Light and L join forces in ways not tried before. Pros: more intrigues, more complexity. Cons: banalities in the way that there’s no real air in the story; it’s dense as hell. Total: rewarding considering all the swings; detective loveliness.
