Ah, nostalgia. I think I must have been about 7 when I first saw this, and not only did I fall in love with it back then (although that might be as much the memory of staying up late with my then best friend, making pyramids with the fold-y bed, and putting skittle sweeties in sprite) but it holds up rather well some… urm… 14 years later. Ahem ;)

Telling of a supposed first meeting between Sherlock Holmes and John Watson, this is an Indiana Jones-esque rollicking good adventure with a surprising number of scares. The attacking cream cakes stuck in mind, but the sword-wielding stained-glass knight has the honour of being the first ever all-CGI character in a movie – taking ILM 4 months to create!
