I just really like this story. Years ago I got a box of my grandmother’s old books after she passed away, and Anna and the King of Siam was one of them. It’s based on a true story and that makes me like it even more. I love to travel and Anna’s story makes me long for a time when it was still possible to explore an “unknown” exotic world. And you just got to respect her spirit and bravery. This movie version was nice, but I still prefer the Deborah Kerr x Yul Brynner musical. Yul Brynner pretty much rules. (corny pun intended haha)
