Mixed feelings about the movie. It’s hard to dislike animated movies like this because all of them have these funny, goofy and witty characters who all look adorable but at the same I have become less forgiving when it comes to the story/concept..

I’m waiting for the sequel though this winter.

This movie was only funny when the penguins were around. The rest of the time, it was boring. Watch Disney’s THE WILD instead.

Needs more penguins :)

This was an enjoyable movie with some good laughs. The secondary characters were actually funnier than the main characters (i.e. lemurs and penguins) which made it not as funny as it could have been. Still worth getting if you are looking for a family movie and you want to moob it moob it!

A slapstick film that depends a great deal on physical humor to get its laughs. Not as clever as some of Pixar’s fare, it nevertheless manages to please in some places. Overall, not worth the time.

I really enjoyed this film, although strangely enough the first half set in the zoo is better than when they finally arrive in Madagascar.
I would have loved to have seen the original story, where they were actually liberated by animal rights activists though. It would have been an interesting angle to a story aimed at children, although depending on the way it was handled possibly offensive.

Saw this at the theater with the family. It was very cute :)
