WORTH CONSUMING!

Despite the fact that Matt Damon is not the greatest actor of our era (and that is putting it very mildly) and the fact that the story was a wit wonky at times I think Terry Gilliam did a nice job of evoking the grim, weird, and funny world of fairy tales with their own internal logic and twists.

Wouldn’t pay to go to the cinema but makes a great rental for a rainy sunday.

I wasn’t sure what to expect from this movie, but I did enjoy it. I might want to own it for the fact that it has the fairy tales in it.

Might not have been worth it if Matt Damon wasn’t in it… but I heard that Johnny Depp was the original choice, which would have been great as well :)

WORTH CONSUMING!

Sure, some (okay most) of the acting was too over-the-top, and the story perhaps left something to be desired. But I’d rather see a Terry Gilliam film any day of the week than almost anything else by any other director.
