The first 10 minutes bored me to tears, so I fastforwarded to the last 30 minutes and went from there. The tensions between the two characters (at the end) were pretty interesting, but if I’d made myself sit through the whole thing, I wouldn’t have found any merit in it whatsoever. There’s no rule saying you have to anyway. Maybe Gallo just needed someone to kick his ass towards the editing suite.

This movie was hard to get into at first, it is very slow, and dull. Gallo makes you feel like you’re filming the movie by placing the camera where you would be if you were with him through out the journey. His style is an acquired taste. By the end of the film you have a sense of his character. Don’t turn it off too soon, the end of the movie has the most talked about scene in ages.
