NOT WORTH CONSUMING

ugh.
its a good thing this is streaming for free, because i cant imagine anyone paying for it. its basically and hour and a half of michael moore and some of his famous friends pointing out how awesome they are, culminating in his tacit claim to credit for the record turnout of young voters. just obnoxious.
if you doubt the focus of this film, notice now many times he even acknowledges kerry. its immaterial. kerry was immaterial. he was the lesser of two evils. at least thats why i voted for him. but for moore to spend such a long time pointing out his sycophantic cheerleading for the democratic party while concurrently demonizing the republican base is just self-defeating. he is his own worst enemy.
and this is my problem with moore in general. i dont think hes a bad guy. hes just an asshole. and every time he makes a film, he exploits a political issue to air out his opinions to the largest possible audience. this time, the political issue is him. it reminds me of reporters starting a fire to make news.
each film moore makes gets more and more self-congratulatory, and this is the pinnacle. this is pure masturbation, with the current election as a footnote at the end.
