IMPORTANT!

“A Clockwork Orange” has 21 chapters. If the edition you are reading does not, DO NOTREAD IT!!

The edition that I read had a preface of Anthony Burgess telling how the first publishers bought only 20 of his chapters, but it had 21 for a specific reason. After I finshed reading mine, I know how important the last chapter is. The movie doesn’t have closure because Kubrick’s copy didn’t have the last chapter.

My favorite line: “Push your mind too hard and it will fuck up like an overloaded switchboard, or turn on you with sabotage… Your mind will answer most questions if you learn to relax and wait for the answer.”
