I thought this film was nothing short of amazing. I feel in love with it after I watched it. I thought the way to scenes were put together were awesome, and just the whole thing was wow. I know my review is not very descriptive but I can’t really explain why I loved it so much, you really just have to watch it to understand.
In response to one of the reviews, I am sorry but I have to disagree with you that this put the civil rights movement back 20 years. I think that is the point of the whole movie, that racism is still very much alive today. Many people like to think that racism is not alive, but it is. I dont think the scenes were overdramatic, I think they were true.
This film was amazing and everyone should see it.

I’m actually consuming Crash (2-Disc Director’s Cut Edition).
When Crash first hit DVD, I decided to wait on purchasing it because I read somewhere that Paul Haggis was upset that he had to edit scenes out of the movie. So I knew it would only be a matter of time before they release an unrated version (or director’s cut edition) of this Oscar-winning movie.
Now mind you, I haven’t seen this movie at all—not in the theaters or on DVD. So the thrill for me here is that, for the first time, I will see Paul Haggis’ actual vision of the flick.
I’m only consuming it because, sooo many people have told me that this is an excellent film.

This is my new favorite movie for now.. I never actually purchase movies because I can’t stand to sit through them twice but I did purchase Crash. I love that it shows racism at different levels and with different races. Every time I watch it, I realize something that I had missed the previous times.

I agree, this movie was very thought provoking, and there are interesting twists. The heavy look at racism was heavy handed, but brought up things to think about, and things connected in a very “snatch”-eque manner.

Poignant , thought provoking, ugly. I highly recommend it.

Another movie well done. I enjoyed the guts this movie had and the difference of roles for some of the actors. Maybe I was just feeling a little emotional that day or whatever but this movie portrayed scenes that really messed with your head and emotions.
Every scene seemed to be melodramatic and outdone like they REALLY wanted to throw it in your face. Extremism makes a point but I think that reactions of fear do NO actual good as a healthy motivator. Perhaps that was in fact one of the points this movie was trying to make…..?
