Very easy read, fair amont of humour – had me chuckling a few times. Will give it to my kids to read—wonder if they’ll get many of the references though, quite a few are rather dated.

Read the first two parts of the Johnny Maxwell trilogy some time ago – thought I’d read the third. I’m not into Terry Pratchett’s Discworld stuff but his children’s books are ok.
this was my first terry prachett book. i read on a couple of blogs that terry prachett is an amazingly funny writer. so expectations were quite high. a story about a bunch of kids going back in time to the second world war. the book isn’t that funny, but it certainly makes for breezy reading. a decent book. certainly not among the funniest i’ve read.
