I was hoping the movie would deal more with the emotional side of losing a mother who loved them equally despite their racial differences. It concentrated more on the revenge without elaborating more on their relationshop with her. I think it could have been so much more.

I have a friend from Detroit. He has a t-shirt with a handgun on it and “Detroit” written below. That pretty much says it all. And Detroit doesn’t get any prettier in this movie. Went with my bother in law and his 16 year old son on a “boys night out”. This is a perfect boys night out movie. Lots of testosterone, guns and cars. Just the right amount of sentiment without going anywhere near a chick flick.

Have a few beers and take your pals. Squeel your tires after.
