WORTH CONSUMING!

Heartbreaking.

And gruesome, I wouldn’t show this to kids… then again, there were so many elementary school kids visiting when I was at the Hiroshima peace memorial museum.

I was surprised this movie took a few stabs at the Japanese government. I was told by a Japanese person that there was a movement in Japan to get another national flag & song because many people condemned these emblems used during the war. The museum in Hiroshima mostly focused on the injustice done by their enemy. I remember that I felt a bit uncomfortable about that at the time. There are two sides in each war. I agree that it was an injustice, but I’m glad to see another view (from the Japanese) on the story portrayed here too. The pointlessness of war. In the end it doesn’t matter what reason was behind it, this shouldn’t have happened to those people.

WORTH CONSUMING!

definetly a heartbreaking glimpse off WWII from the japanese perspective….much more affective than ‘grave of the fireflies’
