WORTH CONSUMING!

Jane Austen was a genius. And now Masterpiece Theatre is showing adaptations of all her novels. I missed Northanger Abbey and Persuasion at the beginning of the year, but Emma and a new version of Sense and Sensibility are coming up. Check out your local PBS station every Sunday evening to watch!

WORTH CONSUMING!

This was marvelous! I was inspired to watch this after reading Austenland. This film really brought the characters alive.

WORTH CONSUMING!

Simply the best of the Pride & Prejudice adaptations, this is one that sent a generation of British ladies swooning. The acting from Colin Firth and Jennifer Ehle as well as the supporting cast in spot on. Light, romantic, funny, this period piece is perfect for romantic comedy lovers looking for something different.

WORTH CONSUMING!

Long, as others have said, and the production values aren’t what they could be. Still, very nice. I developed empathy for many of the major characters, and Mr. Bennet stole the show anytime he was on camera. What a hoot! I also especially enjoyed the interaction between Jane and Eliza, and by the end even started enjoying hating it when Mrs. Bennet was around.
