A story about the last time I consumed this — 3 years ago
Had this for dinner last night. I blended the contents of the package with tarter sauce and pitted black olives.
Think I will stick to a low fat diet today. All 3 items were pretty high in fats, though healthy ones in some cases – but fats nevertheless.
Next time I will be more careful to empty the juice out of the cavities in the olives before plopping them into the salmon/tarter quagmire. The sauce got a tiny bit too watery. Not enough to spoil the taste but a little harder to eat with a fork than I would have liked.
The way I prepared this was kind of cool. It was easy to fix, required no cooking – just mixing ingredients together – and was like an “instant casserole”.
The salmon in the Chicken of the Sea packet was very good. Firm, but not really dry. The tarter sauce really went well with it. It exceeded my expectations in that respect. I thought it wouldn’t go with the tarter sauce because I never heard of it being prepared that way. I was pleasantly surprised.
