why oh why did it take me forever to play you? i’m loving this game right now!

An extremely violent and gory game, but with a title like “God of War” and a main character whose main weapons are two blades that are attached to his body by chains, you’d kind of expect that. This game has great graphics: it makes a man hacking his enemies to tiny bits look really stylish, and the cut-scenes have excellent animation. I did get a little turned around by some of the quick-changing camera work, but after a few hours of play, I had gotten used to it. The gameplay’s pretty good, if a little repetitive by the end, but the combination of challenging puzzles and slash-and-stab action kept me entertained. Certainly not for everyone, but I enjoyed it. Now to try “God Mode”...

One of the greatest game ever! If you have a PS2 you have to get this game. Great action, a great story, and great visuals combine to create an instant classic!
