WORTH CONSUMING!

If you like Krakatoa, you might like this. Pretty much the same thing. Less on the actual day of the earthquake & its aftermath (or maybe Krakatoa was much more interesting), but a lot about the science of earthquakes and the new theories floating around on plate tectonics. He ends it with his trip to Alaska (he laments about the presence of Wal-Mart in the Yukon’s capital), which would have been more interesting if he wrote more about the history of earthquakes (especially in Anchorage) in Alaska rather than on the roadtrip himself.

Otherwise I liked it.
