I’m a fan of Chaplin’s, mostly due to The Great Dictator, which is a brilliant movie. so it was interesting to know a bit about his life. The movie itself is very straightforward, goes through it all in chronological order, with the old chaplin reflecting from time to time. A tested concept, so not very surprising.

A rather enjoyable biopic starring the all-so-talented Robert Downey JR. (I’ve like every movie he’s ever done except Less Than Zero).

If you like Charlie Chaplin or if you are a fan of stapsick and/or old-time movie making then this is the film for you.
