I found Snakes and Earrings by accident. I was in Chapters and it just happened to be misplaced in the middle of no where, so I took it as a sign that maybe I should be reading it.

The story is about a young girl named Lui who meets a snaked tongued boy named Ama. She’s intriguid by his mutalations and sets about getting a forked tongue herself. To do this she first needs a stud in her tongue. Shiba-san performs the piercing and continues to meet up with Lui to tatoo a large Kirin and Dragon on her back. In exchange for his services they have sex, many times. The story has a couple twists and turns that returns to haunt the characters.

I enjoyed the book up until the end and then it lost me completely! I would recommend this book to anyone just so they can explain the ending to me!!
