I just started the new season of this show and I’m already hooked. I like the teams of 2 better than the families and this one doesn’t seem to show signs of disappointment. It’s so much fun to watch people travel and race around the world, and each season, without fail, I plan on sending in my own audition tape (well, with a partner of course). This season is extra cool for me. There’s a team from my birthplace, and a team from the town my boyfriend lives in! I’m rooting for the nerdy couple and the hippies! Can’t wait to see how this one turns out!

In the pure sense of “reality” television-that is, the sense of the extreme game show-The Amazing Race is, hands down, the best of them all. The stakes are high, the contestants are actually challenged, and best of all, the show encourages you to think about the big world that’s out there beyond your TV. Hard to believe that this is on the same network as Survivor and Big Brother. Can’t wait for season 8. Come to think of it, maybe I should add “compete in the Amazing Race” to my 43 Things.
