...but all in all, this was a funny book. If you’ve seen either of her HBO specials, you will be disappointed because a lot of that material is in the book. HOWEVER, although there were a few other funny parts or lines… those parts from the HBO specials were the funniest to me – probably because I could hear and see Ellen reciting this in my mind as I read it. And any fan of Ellen will agree that her comedic timing is perfect.

There were lots of funny parts in this book, unfortunately I already heard most of them as I watched her HBO special. I was sort of hoping this book would have some new material and wouldn’t be a written version of her special.
