Most recommended book for ‘Programming Design Patterns’. The book explains nearly 23 programming design patterns in detail. The explanation of each pattern follows a definite style that includes Intent, Motivation, Applicability, Participants, Colloborations, Consequences, Implementation, Sample code, and Uses. Its a very useful book for any software professional in the career perspective.

While Design Patterns is a classic, I think Design Patterns Explained by Shalloway & Trott makes these patterns much more accessible. When I teach design patterns, that’s what I use.
