WORTH CONSUMING!
Subtle and casual, Noi is about a high-school student in a small fishing village who doesn’t fit in. It’s odd and distinctive with a bold visual style that shifts the colours around to mirror the alienated teen’s mood. Noi stands out because of his intelligence and appearance as an albino. While a film about an alienated teen is a well-worn road, I found that my expectations were challenged in surprising ways. A unique look at a memorable character in an isolated community.
