Cheesy 60's self-help — 3 years ago
I was at my friend’s apartment last night, and I couldn’t sleep. This was on the floor, so I picked it up and read it. The whole thing. In about an hour.
This would probably be great to read after a breakup, for two reasons:
1.) The list of fifty-eight steps to healing is, suprisingly, pretty helpful.
2.) The list of steps is accompanied by a mass quantity of poetry bad enough to make you laugh. A sampling:

next month:
find someone new.
this month:
get over you.
this week:
get you back.
today:
survive.
Oh, the hilarity.
Seriously, though… If you’ve had any kind of loss recently, it’s probably worth reading. It speaks pretty intelligently about the healing process, and tries to remind you that there’s a light at the end of the tunnel.
