I was recommended this b/c of my love of the evil dead trilogy…but it was too corny for my taste. I’m not that into the zombie horror genre either. The thing about Evil Dead is that there are moments in it of actual ‘horror’ (decreasing gradually with each successive addition…that being why ‘Army of Darkness’ is my least favorite), this was just ridiculous from start to finish.

Nothing wrong with that, just wasn’t my cup of tea. The movie is what it is, which in that way I can respect what Jackson was doing.

oh wow. after awhile your mouth just hangs open, and you cant help but just laugh at the strangest times. probably the best old-school peter jackson flick ive seen, definitely the goriest.

Coolest gross movie I’ve ever seen. A bit corny, but it was wild. It’s probably better than Evil Dead visually. Or maybe not better, but there’s more grossness and a lot of creative deaths.
