WORTH CONSUMING!
Much preferred this to the first season, as the tone shifts purely from sex to a great deal of betrayal and danger.
We all know Anne Boleyn’s story isn’t a happy one, but the portrayal of her decline from the King’s chosen favourite is pretty chilling. The tension really does mount in each episode, even when you know what’s coming.
Henry is becoming increasing unlikable, but it’s as if he’s turning more into the self-centred slob from reality.
Glad I didn’t give up on this after the first series!
