I actually quite enjoyed this when I saw it at the cinema – it’s very silly, but pretty fun, and I quite like Jackie Chan’s brand of slapstick fighting, and it added a decent twist to an old story.
However, it’s really not up to a great deal. Steve Coogan seemed rather more awkward than I remember – and I don’t mean just in terms of the character – which unfortunately taints most of the movie. The cameos are of mixed quality, but largely just too self-conscious, in my view.
