Disturbing — 6 years ago

The movie’s ironical and unapologetic presentation of reality is 5-star worthy. But I’m giving it only 3 stars because I can’t honestly say that I’ve enjoyed it. It left me pretty disturbed in fact. Not something I’ll watch again, but I won’t think it a bad idea if someone told me that he/she intends to catch it.

WORTH CONSUMING!

I can never watch this movie again… but I’m glad I’ve seen it.

I was disturbed for months afterwards: I think it’s the most powerful movie I’ve ever seen/experienced.

WORTH CONSUMING!

The first twenty to thirty minutes were hard for me to watch. Not because of the violence, but because the damn camera was moving in spirals and circles the entire time! If I had been watching this on the big screen I would probably have gotten motion sickness. I understand artistically why they did that during the club scene, but maybe the effect should have been lessened a little bit?

Other than that it really was an interesting film. Disturbing of course, but…I really don’t know how to describe it. It’s a challenging film. Not particularly enjoyable, but worth watching all the same.

WORTH CONSUMING!

I liked the idea that the movie presents us with a happy ending, even though ironically it’s the begining, thus making a happy ending non existent but it still leaves us with a bittersweet feeling.

I was thinking about how irreversible sometimes our life is after watching this movie…

you will realise what a tragic movie it is towards the end. they have such a sweet time in the beginning and how it ended so horribly.
