Gilmore Girls is such a pleasure to watch. These girls make me feel warm, cozy and … well, they also make me miss my boyfriend very much because of all the LOVE in it. But he really doesn’t want to watch it (I don’t blame him) so I must always suffer my terrible loneliness post-Gilmore. UNTIL THE END OF TIME.

But I disgress. I knew some of my friends were in love with Gilmore Girls, and when I saw it on sale on amazon.com, I decided to give it a go. I didn’t regret it in the slightest! Every episode has left me so happy and full of laughs and longing for more. I love every single character, though my favorite is probably Lorelai (plus, she has such a pretty name). The writing is witty, the town is full of quirky people that I love and it’s just generally amazing and AH.

I am most probably going to buy the complete series in the coming days or weeks. I am actually trying to refrain from buying too much because I feel like I should play with my Christmas gifts first. But the missing is horrible! I can’t wait! ;)

Watching Gilmore Girls makes me want a do over of my childhood. Even the arguments are charming. The premise is highly unrealistic – it’s very convenient that this single mom has a set of wealthy parents that she can approach (albeit reluctantly) for favors. And I’m not really very keen on the cast of quirky supporting characters. But overall, it is enjoyable escapist fare for those of us who had a less-than-marvelous childhood and a bumpy educational experience. The scripting and delivery are both excellent! This is one of my favorite TV series.

the Gilmore Girls is a masterpiece of a show. I’m glad I stumbled upon it.
