I’ve tried ok. Several times. I didn’t just try it once and go “EWW”. I just don’t like it. And it’s not even the taste so much as it is the texture. It feels really odd in my mouth.
Sushi is the food of the Gods. If there is any food you can get high on, Sushi is it.
My favourite, the unagi with wasabi dipped in Soysauce, heavenly!

Sushi is my comfort food. Chicken noodle soup is blah. I love sushi. it’s like delicious wrapped in yum with a lovely coating of heaven. Nothing is better than sushi.

Is there anything in the world that is more perfect than salmon sushi?

I love sushi but haven’t had any in a little while…going to Umi in Boston tonight. They have really good spicy tuna!
I had always wanted to try the real thing and since I found a japanese place I couldn’t get enough! However I’ve been very dull with what I try, normally I eat at the buffet and have lots of nigiri and maki rolls mainly.
Any thoughts on what else to try on the menu? I’ve had vegtable tempura which is delish, but I want something new. Nothing too spicy btw, the wasabi is enough on its own ;)

Twice I made it myself, thanks to 43 Things .I made some with a friend at a Clothing Swap Party and then again at home. I want to make more soon though.

The last I had sushi was at the great place in the neighborhood I lived in in Tokyo. Then I got sick, had to come back to the US, and was told not to eat anything uncooked by my doctors. Well last week was my birthday, so I went out and had the most wonderful sushi. I figure that nothing else has managed to kill me yet. And if the sushi did, at least I’d die happy.
P.S. That Californai roll stuff? Not Sushi!

I love sushi so much! I think, at least once a month, I always have the crave to eat sushi! :p Unfortunately, I didn’t try any sushi when I was staying in Japan.
In Jakarta, I usually go to Umee Dharmawangsa Square and Poke Sushi Dharmawangsa Square

There’s a little sushi place where I’m at in Misawa that is quite lovely. Traditional seating, warm & fast service, and they put wasabi between the rice & meat. I haven’t been to a place where they’ve done that before, usually it comes in a dish on the side. I had crab, yellowtail, squid, shrimp, salmon, and tuna. best. sushi. ever.

I like sushi, but I worry about the hook worms that are in fish, even though they are totally harmless to humans they give me the creeps a little

I’ve had some sushi before, but I figure I’ve just had bad sushi. The stuff I’ve had was just completely tasteless so I didn’t like it.
Where is some sushi in the Dallas area that a student could afford?

I could eat nothing but California maki for the rest of my life and die a happy girl…

I’ve had some sushi, but I haven’t ventured beyond california rolls, salmon sashimi (which I love love LOVE), and unagi (which took a lot of persuasion but tastes just like honey-glazed chicken).
Plus I HATE ginger and wasabi. I don’t even put soy sauce on any of sushi! Maybe I should develop a taste for those sorts of things.
Also, I think I want to try some fugu but I’m kind of scared that the American sushi chefs here might screw it up and kill me. So I guess I’ll wait ‘til I go to Japan to try it.
