WORTH CONSUMING!

I was 13 when the movie came out – me and my girlfriends where completely crazy about it :) we wanted to be like Cher and her friends. Silly us :D. Years later, I can still appreciate the movie, be it on another level. I’ve read Emma (bit of an Austen fan now), and when I heard Clueless was an adaptation it sorta went ‘click’ in my head with a big ‘oooh yeah, ofcourse!’.
But even on it’s own, the movie is just plain fun.

WORTH CONSUMING!

A cute film, especially since I’d just finished reading Jane Austen’s “Emma” earlier in the week. My roommate was amazed when I started telling him exactly what was going to happen with all of the characters – it was easy to match them up with their literary counterparts, and know how it was all going to end. Lots of fun!

WORTH CONSUMING!

I rented this recently because my fiancĂ©e didn’t believe that Paul Rudd was cute (based on his role in Anchorman with his walrus moustache). I was pretty sure she’d like the movie, but I was wondering how it’d hold up after ten years. Let me assure you: it holds up.

Clueless is clever, charming, and hilarious. So what if it’s a little dated? The story’s still good, and the acting is incredible. This has to be both Brittany Murphy’s and Alicia Silverstone’s best acting work. Add that to a very talented supporting cast (Dan Hedaya, Wallace Shawn, Donald Faison, and the extremely cute Paul Rudd), you just can’t lose. The special features on the “Whatever” edition DVD are pretty good as well, although it’s funny how they got nearly everyone with a speaking role to come back for an interview ten years later, yet Alicia is conspicuous by her absence.

Clueless: still funny, sweet, and extremely rewatchable.
