WORTH CONSUMING!

I am usually not a fan of sequels and prequels, but this film is certainly an exception. What an exquisite job Nolan has done setting up the entire series. The collage of flashbacks works wonderfully well, bringing the Bruce Wayne character from childhood to full-blown Bathood with well-paced action, intrigue and excellent cinematography. The reference to the Joker at the end is the perfect lead-in to the orginal Batman movie. Great casting. A winner all-around.

Good for a couple of workouts; nice mindless action entertainment. Good effects, all-star cast. It’s a long movie but the plot was thick; I wasn’t bored.

I have to say, I’m impressed with Christian Bale in particular, whom I’ve seen in The Machinist and American Psycho. He exhibits remarkable range as an actor.

WORTH CONSUMING!

In a word, brilliant. Absolutely brilliant on all levels. Incredible acting, great effects and one of the smartest scripts ever written for a comic book movie, but to look at Batman Begins as just a comic book movie is to shortchange the film.

Probably the best Batman film to date. Some real depth to the character and a decent story.

WORTH CONSUMING!

I’d say this wipes the floor with the last two Batman movies. Everything in this movie was perfect. My only complaint was how the action sequences were filmed. I didn’t know what was going on until the action was over because the camera didn’t allow the audience to really see the action.

I for one am a girl who can appreciate a good comic book movie … Spiderman, X-Men, Hellboy, Constantine, Elektra and the long-awaited Fantastic Four … but wow. Batman Begins was mindblowingly brilliant! Redemption is one way to look at it after that horrid movie they called Batman and Robin. I mean I adore George Cloney but come on … he is NO Batman.

This is utterly the best comic book movie EVER made. The acting was superb, storyline was incredible and it was faithful to the movie ‘canon’. I loved how they tied together Christian Bale’s Batman to Michael Keaton’s Batman at the end. And Gary Oldman as the future Comissoner Gordon, loved it! He was great! I don’t have one compliant about this movie, Katie Holmes even did a great job and that’s saying something after her whiny stint on Dawon’s Creek.

Everyone should go see this!

WORTH CONSUMING!

i’ve always been a batman fan, but when the last few movies came out, i felt like the franchise was eating itself alive. despite this, though, i had hopes for this movie as it seemed to have a different feel then the last few movies and i was definitely not disappointed. i really liked how his story was portrayed in this movie and though parts of it were cheesy (and everytime i saw katie holmes, i though of her and tom cruise – ew), it was overall fairly entertaining.

NOT WORTH CONSUMING

Why the critics love this film, I’m not sure. I realize that it’s all about the backstory, but it took an hour for him to become Batman. Christian Bale was pretty good, but honestly, I was bored through most of it. Your money, your risk.

Really good, so much better than pretty much all of the previous ones. Christian Bale is the first actor since Michael Keaton to do this role any justice.
